Here are some of my favorites from a recent shoot for Huggies Pure and Natural.

We had the pleasure of working with Kerry Mellor, Tracy Flynn and Patty Widyn of Wunderman and Michelle Avantario of Bambini.

Jason Danieley and Marin Mazzie

February 2009 I photographed the cast of a new Broadway Musical, Next to Normal.  Much to my surprise, the photos were put on the doors of the Booth Theater on 45th Street, between 8th and Broadway.  Each actor’s head is about 10 feet tall.  The show went on to be nominated for 11 2009 Tonys, winning 3 and more recently it won the 2010 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.  Some of the cast members have moved on and Serino Coyne asked me to photograph the new actors to update the doors.  They went up today.  I had the pleasure of bumping into Jason Danieley when I got there.  He is taking over the roll of the father, Dan.  The first performance with the new cast is tonight!

The quality of the prints on the doors is pretty incredible.  You have to see them to get the impact.  Serino Coyne did such a great job.  It’s really fascinating to see every little retouching decision amplified, absolutely every little detail becomes important.

We should all put our faces on our doors to prepare those who enter for what awaits.

Thanks to Sean Pomposello, David Barrineau and Moira Finney of Serino Coyne and David Stone, the show’s producer, for the opportunity. Also thanks to Jacek Kuzniar for his assistance with the retouching, now from San Francisco instead of in my studio, and Stefanie Syat for doing a great job with the hair make up!
