My photo of Jake Porway has just come out in the June edition of Wired UK.

The above photo is currently opening my portfolio. Below is an outtake of Jake, who fortunately likes to talk with his hands.

I created a backdrop by projecting some real data that Jake is working with. I use a projector during my previous Wired UK shoot of Ellen Jorgensen.

It’s a challenge to balance a projected image with strobes in the studio. You can see more of my work for Wired UK here.

Huggies We Want You Campaign

I got to work with Kimberly-Clark and Ogilvy & Mather on another great Huggies campaign.

One of the big challenges we faced on this shoot was getting our little ones to point. We knew we would seldom get them to stick out a finger at ages 4-12 months. But I came up with a few gadgets to at least encourage them to put their arms forward. The most successful was the acrylic rod below.

The lighting was pretty involved, especially the crib shot on the right. We had to be pre-lit for a standing version (see our doll stand in) as well as the overhead.

Neil Jacobstein (above) is the AI and Robotics Co-Chair. He is also a celestial photo enthusiast.

Rob Nail (above, left) is Associate Founder and CEO. Kathryn Myronuk is Director of Research.

Marc Goodman (above, left) is Chair for Policy, Law and Ethics and Global Security Advisor. Raymond McCauley is Chair of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics.

Heather Bresch is the CEO of Mylan, a company that makes generic drugs. Esquire magazine named her one of the 2011 Patriots of the year for her work with the FDA. l photographed her for Barron’s in a very small room in the Chrysler Building.

I photographed Helly Nahmad (seated on stairs), his cousin Helly and his father David in 2007 for the cover of Forbes. The art on the walls of his gallery was breathtaking. Yesterday Federal agents raided the gallery.
