I shot the cover of the October 2011 issue of  The Atlantic.  We photographed a model, William Coleman, in my studio to illustrate a story about how the NCAA may be taking advantage of atheletes.  Hair, makeup, dirt and sweat by Nikki Wang

Thanks to Samantha Caruthers for the behind the scenes photos.

If you’re on Amtrak, look for my cover of the September/October issue of Arrive magazine.

Last month I photographed John Paul DeVito for Forbes at Ground Zero.  The Freedom Tower is pictured behind him.  John Paul lead 13 coworkers from the 87th floor of One World Trade Center to safety just seconds before the collapse of building number Two.  In the article he writes about how the events that day changed his life.

You can read the full account of his experience that morning on the New York Times, dated 9/16/01

Olgilvy has produced another ad from our Huggies Slip-on shoot.

If your flying American, check your seat back pocket for the September 1 issue of American Way Magazine for my photos of Chevy Chase.

Remarkably there are 4 different covers!

Thanks to Brynwood Golf & Country Club for letting us shoot there.  They totally hooked us up with everything we needed, including thousands of golf balls.

Styling by Valissa Yoe.

It’s a little late but I finally got a copy.  My Michael Stipe photo is on page 153 of the 2011 Photography Annual.

Anupam Mittal is an internet entrepreneur who started Shaadi.com, “the worlds largest matrimonial service”.  I photographed him in June for JWM, a magazine for the JW Marriott hotel chain.

Here is a picture I shot last week for Barron’s of Tom Kolefas of TIAA-CREF.  It’s always nice to shoot on a rooftop in NYC but unfortunately often hard to gain access.  I shot Lisa Black on this rooftop 8 years ago.

I like this shot that my assistant fired off to test our tether.  It shows me and the publicist on the roof.  Just needs a chopper in the background.

Last October I photographed Murray Nossel for Forbes.  Murray, an oscar nominated director, teaches people how to tell stories through Narativ.  He also  does an amazing two man show with his friend Paul Browde called Two Men Talking.  We had a great shoot.  Thanks to Ramscale for letting us shoot there.

I spent 2 days on the floor of B2 Studios in Sydney.

Creative Directors David Metcalf and Chris Turner of Ogilvy, Chicago

I recently shot a Huggies campaign with Ogilvy & Mather to launch a new product called Little Mover’s Slip-On Diapers.  It was just featured in the New York Times in last Friday’s business section.  They talk about the product and the ad campaign, specifically the TV spot, directed by Bruce Hurwit.  At the end of the article they interview Ogilvy’s Chris Turner, the Creative Director focusing on the visuals.  I had the pleasure of working with him along with his partner Creative Director David Metcalf who wrote the brilliant copy.

My son Wyatt is a total rolling pin.

I also shot the diaper package.

There should be a couple more ads produced from our shoot soon…

At the end of June I shot a The Chivas Brotherhood party for Urban Daddy.  I don’t usually shoot events but this was interesting.  They wanted someone to shoot portraits during the event.  They had Hazel Elder build a really cool set.  Once the party started, people began to come by to have their photos taken.  Then we projected them live, as we were shooting.  They also went up on Urban Daddy’s Facebook page as we were shooting.  It was intense.  I shouted for 3 hours.

This photo of Dave Shebiro is in the current issue of Forbes.  Dave owns a really cool record shop called Rebel Rebel Records in the West Village.  The store is so packed we could hardly get a light up.  Dave knows where everything is.

As a parent, we hope that our children are absorbing some of the positive things we expose them to.  A week after our epic 3 week trip, I am happy to see my daughter exhibiting some of the finer points of French and British culture.  Each of these behaviors, photographed in the past 2 days, are things I never saw her do before.  Very rewarding.

Just back from 3 weeks in France and London.

I recently came upon a couple of photos I took for Aprica Strollers at a Babies “R” Us.  This reminded me that I never did a post about the shoot.  Here are some of the selects, some bad iPhone photos of the in store displays and some screen shots of my images on www.aprica.com.

It’s always cool to see my work on the street, especially when it’s big!  This poster is currently in front of the Manhattan Theater Club at 131 W 55th Street. As far as I know it is one of a kind.  I had the pleasure of seeing the play, Cradle and All, which was excellent.   If you are in the area, check it out.  The play and poster are on until June 19th.

Here are some shots from an editorial shoot I did a couple of weeks ago.

The idea had something to do with a genetic predisposition to crime.  Unfortunately the story was killed.

This was my first baby group shoot.  Seven babies at once, not to mention about 12 parents, was hectic.

My since graduated intern, Richard Solinger, did an awesome job with stencils and a fabric marker.

My wife and I were able to provide the primary criminal who happened to fit the demographic.  Thanks to Abrams Artists Agency for providing the rest of the superlative talent.

I recently photographed the CA Technologies Sustainability Executive Summary.  Thanks to Addison for the opportunity.  They previously hired me to shoot a campaign for the Institute of Management accountants.
